Who We Are
Michele
Counsellor
I am a fully qualified Counsellor, specialising in working with children and young people - DipHE Counselling CYP. I work in a variety of ways using resources such as sand trays, puppets & clay; as this often provides a safe way for children, young people and adults to explore what might be affecting them. However it is down to the individual to choose how they wish to work and if talking therapy is right for you, then I will follow your lead.
I also hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (adults) which means I am able to adapt the way in which I work to meet your needs. I have worked in both Secondary and Primary Schools as a counsellor, working with clients short term and long term, as part of my clinical placement and later as a freelance counsellor working throughout NE Essex schools. I also work collaboratively with a well known charity supporting young people.
I worked within schools for over 7 years prior to my counsellor training; and this has provided me with a wealth of experience, understanding of school systems, the complexities that pupils face in relation to education, others, and society.
Jane
Counsellor
I am a fully qualified child and young persons counsellor. I have experience in child play therapy which uses play to help children and young people express themselves in a confidential and safe environment.
My role as a counsellor supports children while they explore and express their experiences, being listened to in a non-judgemental space.
I have worked in many areas of child counselling and specialise in child bereavement.
